Join a dozen lucky birders at the Barrymores’ home in the hills of the San Marcos Trout Club.
There are feeders in the back yard and a large viewing deck in front. This is a wonderful woodland setting with birds not usually seen in town.
Steller’s Jays usually make an appearance. Over the years, Hermit Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Western Kingbird, Lazuli Bunting, Black-headed Grosbeak, Phainopepla, Juncos, and White-throated and Golden-crowned Sparrows have been logged. Feeders attract Hooded and Bullock’s Orioles as well as Black-chinned Hummingbirds. Join us on International Migratory Bird Day for a delicious brunch at this unique mountain community; you never know what feathered friends may fly in!
