Welcome and thank you for your interest in a gift plan for
Santa Barbara Audubon Society.
The Santa Barbara Audubon Society, with over 50 years of history, advocates, educates, and helps people connect with birds and nature. In order to continue this legacy we are pleased you would consider our Chapter in your estate plan.
We receive no public funding and rely on member and community support. Including the Santa Barbara Audubon Society in your estate plan is a highly effective way to provide for the continued strength of this organization, leaving a legacy for future generations. A simple bequest is an easy and wonderful way to preserve what you cherish. Thank you for reaching out.
A Simple Bequest is one of the easiest gifts to make. After talking to a legal or financial advisor, you might specify in your will, a gift be made to the Santa Barbara Audubon Society. A bequest is a revocable gift, meaning it can be changed or modified at any time.
To leave a lasting legacy, a bequest can be made in several ways:
- Gift a specific dollar amount or asset
- Gift a percentage of your estate
- Make a beneficiary designation of certain assets.
Sample Bequest Language:
“I [name], of [city, state, ZIP], give, devise and bequeath to the Santa Barbara Audubon Society [written amount in dollars, or percentage of the estate, or description of property] for its unrestricted use and purpose.”
If you have already included a bequest to the Santa Barbara Audubon Society in your legacy plan, please let us know. We would like to thank you and recognize your generosity if you so choose.
