Volunteers Needed: Hands On Citizen Science Intro

CitizenScienceBanner.jpg

Thursday, Feb. 27, 7 – 8:30 PM at CCBER.

When is the last time you got to help birds in a hands on way?

Santa Barbara Audubon needs your help to protect, monitor and compile scientific data about birds in our area. These include our White-tailed Kite program, our Tree Swallow Nest Box program and our Black Phoebe program at Arroyo Hondo.

These programs give you a very important job and a great excuse to get in more birding! If you are a student, internships are available as well.

Even if you aren’t sure you can volunteer, our introduction includes great information about these species of birds, their local importance, and is a great illustration of everything that Audubon stands for. Please come just to find out more.
