Field Trip: Hollister Ranch

Hollister Ranch is a large privately held area of ranchetts north of Gaviota on the coast and into the foot hills. This pristine coastal area is not something to miss. Seize the day and and see for your self the wonders this area holds.

Car-pool Meeting time 7:00 a.m.

$8.00/person gas money to drivers.

  • Ocean and pond water foul
  • Raptors
  • Perhaps an Owl or two

Reservations Are Mandatory!

Reservations are required due to the 5 car and 20 person limit we are allowed to take on the property. Please email Jack Sanford email hidden; JavaScript is required by Wednesday, May 30th to reserve your place. Please let Jack know if you are willing to drive your vehicle and how many people it can hold. Jack MUST confirm your reservation by e-mail.

Directions for car pooling at 7:00am:

We will car pool from the Sears Carpool location. You must get a parking permit from Jack. We will meet and park in the Sears parking lot near the corner of Calle Real and La Cumbre Rd at 7:00am.  $8.00/person gas money to drivers.


Drivers from north county still need reservations but may meet at 8:00 a.m. at this location: GOOGLE MAP HERE

  • Bring water, snack or lunch
  • Wear comfortable shoes
  • Bring a hats
  • Binoculars a must, spotting scopes are useful
