We’re excited that you want to learn more about our feathered friends!
Due to popular, unexpected demand, our Winter Bird Count 4 Kids registration is now full.
Those of you who have registered will receive an email with instructions from us in mid April. You do not need to download any of the documents described below, as they will be provided in your goody bag.
For those who were not able to register, we still want to share the love of birds and nature at Lake Los Carneros with you! How?
Bird independently with your own family at Lake Los Carneros Park! Please follow park rules for Covid safety with masks and social distancing.
To help you along on your family birding adventure, please download the following:
- Our checklist with images of birds at Lake Los Carneros
- Observe and check as many birds on list as you can.
- Write in birds and other wildlife that aren’t on the list – there’s space at the end.
To make the checklist into a booklet, print this double-sided on 8.5”x11” paper in landscape orientation, fold in half, and staple in the middle.
Alternatively, you can just print on 8.5”x11” paper in landscape orientation single-sided. You can use it this way, or, to put the pages in order, cut the pages in half, re-order the pages, and staple together.
