Santa Barbara Harbor is a busy place during the day, but one can find many species of shorebirds, gulls, terns and water birds which take advantage of the quiet hours of the early morning.

Directions:
From Hwy 101 north-bound
- Take Exit 96B Laguna St / Garden St
- Get in the left lane on the ramp to Garden St
- At the signal turn left onto Garden St
- Follow Garden St as it curves around heading to the ocean
- Turn right onto Cabrillo Blvd
- Follow Cabrillo Blvd for 1/2 mile past Stearns Wharf to Bath Street
- Turn right on Bath street and find a place to park
From Hwy 101 south-bound
- Take Exit 97 Castillo St / Harbor
- Turn right at the light onto Castillo St
- Move to the left lane (not left turn pocket) to proceed straight through the stoplight at Montecito St
- Turn left onto Mason St (second street after Montecito light)
- Mason St dead ends at Bath St. Find parking on Bath St.
- We will meet on the sidewalk next to the Sea Landing Sport Fishing Building (301 W. Cabrillo Blvd).
- All birders should park on Bath Street or Mason Street (no time limit) or use paid city lot parking.
- We will bird the Santa Barbara Harbor and Stearns Wharf area.
Other Information:
- Bring water, snack
- Wear comfortable shoes
- Bring a hat
- Binoculars a must, spotting scopes are useful
