Noozhawk: Parasite Linked to Mass Deaths of Pacific Coast Band-Tailed Pigeons in Santa Barbara County

Thousands of Pacific Coast band-tailed pigeons have been found dead in Santa Barbara County, evidently from a parasite-borne disease that restricts their throat passages and causes them to die of starvation or suffocation.
