Nestled just over the Gaviota pass from Gaviota State Beach is Nojoqui Falls County Park. There is quite a spectacular waterfall in the park (if it’s been raining) and is also home to the county’s breeding population of Purple Martins.

Directions:
- The park is in the Santa Ynez Valley
- From Hwy 101 take the Nojoqui Park turnoff (old Coast Hwy) 1.2 miles north of Gaviota Pass summit
- This is a poorly marked turn off with only a small brown “Nojoqui Park” sign
- Turn left on Alisal Road (approx 1 mile)
- Nojoqui Falls Park is on the right about 0.8 miles down the road.
- We will meet in the parking area nearest the falls
We will hike to the falls (an easy walk) and then bird the entire park.
Other Information:
- Bring water & snack
- Wear comfortable shoes suitable for oil on beach
- Bring a hat
- Binoculars a must, spotting scopes are very useful
